Hsinchu educators visit Brussels’ ‘Future Classroom Lab’

Commissioned by Hsinchu County, a delegation of 26 local school masters led by the President of Hsinchu University of Education, Chen Huibang, visited the Brussels ‘Future Classroom Lab’ (FCL) on March 20th to learn about the latest information and communications technology in the field of education. The Director of the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office, Huei-wen Hsu, accompanied them on their visit.

Elina Jokisalo from the European Schoolnet gave the delegation a guided tour and detailed explanation of some of  the FCL’s latest projects.

FCL includes a study area divided into five zones (exchange, develop, create, investigate and present) and an interactive classroom. The lab was designed to help the iTEC project (http://itec.eun.org) showcase and disseminate designs for the future classroom.

The R&D results are released to the public, and interested schools can access the FCL website and subscribe to all electronic communications online.
